Baseline Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in problem-solving discussions with system engineers, tests, and security personnel to diagnose issues.

• Provide support for security ecosystems and be the primary contact for system, software, and security concerns.

• Assist system owners with cybersecurity compliance, outages, and the escalation of user-reported incidents to security operations teams.

• Identify, research, and resolve both technical and potential security challenges.

• Handle intake and respond to requests for technical support via telephone, email, and from personnel.

• Document, track, and oversee issues to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with network services, software systems engineering, and application development to restore services and diagnose or rectify core issues.

• Troubleshoot and simulate user challenges to address operational difficulties.

• Suggest system modifications to minimize user issues and security vulnerabilities.

• Design, develop, and integrate security systems and software to support stakeholders effectively.

• Implement, test, and manage system changes, including configuration optimizations, system updates, version upgrades, and new installations.

• Perform analyses related to the design, development, security, and integration of hardware, software, man-machine interfaces, and system-level requirements.

• Create integrated security system test requirements, strategies, devices, and systems.

• May serve as a team leader to delegate tasks, plan projects, and provide status updates to clients.

• Design and incorporate security technologies, tools, and capabilities into delivered solutions to uphold federal and commercial security best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree along with 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent work experience.

• Each year of work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.

• Public Trust clearance level is necessary.
