Senior Information Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Deliver security Incident Response services to clients.

• Execute incident analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery processes.

• Conduct log reviews, malware assessments, evidence gathering, and forensic investigations.

• Provide advice on and implement security technical solutions.

• Carry out technical security assessments, social engineering evaluations, risk assessments, and security posture reviews.

• Act as a Virtual Security Engineer (vSE) for customers.

• Manage Incident Response cases from inception to completion, including consulting and remediation efforts.

• Conduct forensic analysis to uncover system artifacts related to incident response and digital investigations.

• Present and clarify security solutions to clients.

• Support sales consultants and engineers with the design, review, validation, and optimization of security technology.

• Contribute to product selection, research, configuration standards, and best practices.

• Educate sales teams about products and services.

• Provide cross-training and mentorship to HBS employees.

• Participate in on-call support for 24/7 Incident Response services.

• Achieve annual billable hour targets.

• Identify and develop new technical cybersecurity offerings in collaboration with the Practice Manager – Digital Forensics & Incident Response.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant IT experience.

• 3+ years of experience with Active Directory and Azure.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
