Senior ICT Consultant, Data Centers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Manage a team of ICT consultants, designers, and BIM specialists to produce data center design documents that are constructable and completed on time.

• Develop work plans and define tasks effectively.

• Create and implement solutions to address client challenges in data centers.

• Conduct surveys, design, develop, and oversee the construction administration of ICT infrastructure projects for data centers.

• Offer ICT design and consulting services for hyper-scale and enterprise data centers, structured cabling systems, campus/WAN, passive optical networks, and outside plant environments.

• Execute ICT design and consulting tasks as part of larger teams focused on data center designs.

• Collect and analyze engineering data using established methodologies.

• Complete both detailed and routine design and consulting tasks.

• Suggest solutions to new and complex challenges.

• Mentor and guide internal mid-level consultants and production personnel.

• Conduct work within established budgets and timelines with minimal oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university along with eight (8) years of relevant experience, or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

• Experience in data center design focusing on ICT infrastructure.

• Current BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) Certification is required.

• U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent residency (Green Card) is mandatory.

• Preferred: Five years of experience in Hyper-Scale Data Center design with ICT infrastructure.

• Preferred: Additional active BICSI Certifications; BICSI DCDC certification is advantageous.

• Professional experience and/or proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Visio Professional, Bluebeam Extreme (Revu), Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365 Suite, and other ICT-specific software.

• Professional experience and/or proficiency with permitting, state and local regulations, IEEE–C2 Standard, OSHA 1910 Standards, TIA cabling standards, TIA data center standards, BICSI TDMM, and other relevant manuals.
