This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage multiple HCA client engagements simultaneously, taking ownership of designated workstreams, deadlines, documentation, and follow-ups.
• Engage in client discovery, onboarding processes, status meetings, and collaborative working sessions.
• Perform HR research and convert findings into actionable, business-oriented recommendations.
• Create and revise employee handbooks, workplace policies, management tools, job descriptions, HR procedures, employee communications, and materials for clients.
• Assist in HR compliance and risk assessments, covering policies, employee files, onboarding documentation, and multi-state requirements.
• Support employee relations, performance management, leave and accommodation matters, wage-and-hour issues, classification, documentation, and everyday HR concerns.
• Facilitate compensation benchmarking, recruiting, talent acquisition, workforce planning, HR process enhancements, and other HCA initiatives.
• Utilize compliance, handbook, compensation, and HR technology platforms to aid client projects.
• Prepare polished deliverables for client presentation and senior review.
• Enhance clients' HR infrastructure through effective policies, documentation, processes, and management practices.
• Assist in regulatory monitoring, research, handbook and policy formulation, HR file audits, new-hire process evaluations, and compliance initiatives.
• Create manager checklists, templates, guides, and documentation resources.
• Identify workforce gaps and communicate them to HCA leadership.
• Coordinate LinkedIn content calendars, HR-related content, newsletters, articles, webinars, presentations, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Support conferences, SHRM events, sponsorships, networking activities, speaking opportunities, and business development events.
• Maintain marketing materials, proposal content, client resources, and service information.
• Keep organized client files, project trackers, deliverable schedules, research documentation, and engagement records.
• Monitor project progress and relay any risks, delays, questions, or concerns regarding scope.
• Log billable hours and assist with project and billing documentation.
• Collaborate with HCA leadership and Sorren's advisory, accounting, tax, assurance, marketing, and operational teams.
• Contribute to templates, process enhancements, and lessons learned to boost efficiency and improve the client experience.
• Act as a primary resource for handbook development, compliance support, recruiting coordination, workforce analytics, and operational HR projects.
• Increase HCA's delivery capacity by managing specified client workstreams.
• Foster responsiveness, consistency, and scalability across all engagements.
• Approximately 3-5 years of hands-on experience in HR, people operations, recruiting, employee relations, compliance, or a related field is preferred; relevant equivalent experience will also be considered.
• Familiarity with core HR practices and employment-related issues, along with the ability and eagerness to investigate unfamiliar topics.
• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Leadership, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
• An active PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification is preferred.
• Candidates lacking certification must show a willingness to pursue an appropriate HR credential in the near future.
• Excellent written communication skills and the capability to produce clear, professional client-facing materials.
• Comfort in working directly with clients, managers, and business leaders within a professional setting.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote work environment.
• Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential employee and client information responsibly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and a willingness to learn new HR, compliance, project management, marketing, and collaboration technologies.
• Experience with LinkedIn, Canva, newsletters, social media, event coordination, or professional services marketing is advantageous.
• Capability to utilize computers, telephones, video conferencing, and other collaborative technologies on a regular basis.
