Senior GPU Cloud Network SRE Expert

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the north-south fabric that connects the AI cloud to the global network.

• Lead the automation process that transforms EVPN/BGP operations from ticket-based handling to policy-driven management.

• Oversee the IP/Ethernet infrastructure that links the AI cloud fleet, which includes DCI, WAN, internet edge, and tenant-facing networks.

• Develop automation solutions that enable the AIOps substrate to articulate network intent as code.

• Manage the operation of EVPN-VxLAN data center fabrics to ensure multi-tenant network isolation and facilitate workload mobility.

• Establish connections between four US data centers using multi-site DCI overlays/underlays while providing consistent L2/L3 services.

• Administer BGP, OSPF, ECMP load balancing, and VxLAN across spine-leaf architectures.

• Oversee IP transit, peering relationships, and the infrastructure for the internet edge.

• Operate the WAN/IP backbone that links US data centers to sites in APAC and Iceland.

• Manage networking equipment including Arista, Cisco, and Palo Alto switches, routers, and firewalls.

• Implement network automation using Ansible, Terraform, and Nautobot/NetBox for IP Address Management (IPAM) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM).

• Monitor network health, capacity, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across all locations.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation of network architecture, standard configurations, and change management procedures.

• Represent route policies, Access Control Lists (ACLs), Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRFs), and peering sessions as code within the configuration management system.

• Input BGP flap and DCI degradation data into the network stability predictor.

• Convert routine changes into workflows that can be executed by the remediation actuator during maintenance windows.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in data center network engineering, with practical experience in EVPN-VxLAN deployment.

• Extensive expertise in BGP (both eBGP and iBGP), including route policies, communities, and traffic engineering.

• Experience in designing and managing multi-site DCI with EVPN multi-homing capabilities.

• Proficient in Arista EOS and/or Cisco NX-OS within spine-leaf data center environments.

• Familiarity with firewall platforms such as Palo Alto and Fortinet for perimeter and inter-tenant security.

• Practical experience in IP transit provisioning and internet peering.

• Knowledge of network automation tools like Ansible, Python/Netmiko, and Nautobot/NetBox.

• Strong grasp of Quality of Service (QoS), traffic engineering, and capacity planning for data center networks.

• AIOps capability — either you have led a network automation initiative from ticket-driven operations to intent-driven policy, or you possess a clear vision of how to achieve this.

• A runbook-as-code mentality — configurations, changes, and rollbacks should be executable by an automated agent.
