Senior Golang Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage backend systems that support a large-scale video content platform.

• Continuously enhance Go and Node.js backend services within a microservices architecture.

• Create REST APIs and event-driven services utilizing AWS EventBridge, SQS, and RabbitMQ.

• Produce high-performance, maintainable, well-structured, and thoroughly tested code adhering to SOLID principles.

• Engage in system design discussions and advance service architecture with serverless and event-driven patterns.

• Ensure production systems maintain high availability, scalability, performance, and fault tolerance.

• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, and Redshift.

• Deploy and manage services using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) on AWS.

• Contribute to CI/CD workflows utilizing GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance systems with tools like Honeycomb, Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch.

• Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams on infrastructure, deployment workflows, and operational practices via Terraform and GitOps.

• Engage in pair programming, mob programming, YAGNI, and Test-Driven Development.

• Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.

• Contribute to organization-wide backend engineering initiatives and facilitate knowledge sharing across teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred experience range of 6–10 years; candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply if they exhibit technical maturity and strong fundamentals.

• Strong expertise in Go (Golang) and familiarity with Node.js.

• Experience in building distributed microservices and API-driven systems.

• Practical experience with REST APIs and event-driven backend architectures.

• Solid background in PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, and/or Redshift.

• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) in live production settings.

• Familiarity with Docker for service development and deployment.

• Experience using Terraform for managing infrastructure.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.

• Experience operating and debugging systems with Honeycomb, Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.

• Understanding of fault tolerance, monitoring, and performance enhancement.

• Practical experience with Extreme Programming methodologies.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, a sense of ownership, and a curious mindset.

• Interest in Machine Learning, NLP, and AI technologies.
