Senior GenAI Safety Researcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design robust and scalable testing methodologies along with red-teaming frameworks for foundational models, multimodal systems, and AI agents.

• Create prompt strategies across various risk domains to uncover intricate model vulnerabilities.

• Investigate emerging jailbreak tactics, prompt injection methods, and circumvention techniques.

• Offer technical and policy insights to assist the Program Lead in project scoping, risk assessment, and strategic direction.

• Document, synthesize, and enhance Alice’s internal AI Safety knowledge repository.

• Standardize best practices, taxonomies, and research outcomes across the team.

• Guide junior analysts and uplift the analytical standards of the team.

• Manage engagement lifecycles from planning and methodology design through to execution, quality assurance, and final delivery.

• Supervise complex, multi-language datasets across various areas of abuse.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, policy, and client-facing teams to share findings and shape mitigation strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in AI Safety, Responsible AI, Trust & Safety, or related research fields.

• Demonstrated proficiency in research design and developing qualitative or quantitative evaluation methodologies for Generative AI.

• In-depth domain knowledge of content risks, including toxicity, copyright issues, misinformation, and violations of safety policies.

• Proven history of project ownership, managing deliverables from start to finish with meticulous attention to detail in dynamic environments.

• Comprehensive understanding of contemporary Generative AI architectures, prompt engineering, red-teaming, and AI agents.

• Excellent communication abilities to serve as a key subject-matter expert for program leads, internal teams, and clients.

• Published research in academic journals, industry whitepapers, or research institutes is a valuable addition.

• Practical experience in evaluating multimodal systems is a plus.

• Experience in mentoring, leading, or conducting quality assurance for junior analysts and researchers is advantageous.
