Senior Gameplay Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with gameplay and cinematic designers as well as animators to realize the game's vision.

• Develop new camera mechanics and features using Unreal Engine 5.

• Define, create, and sustain core camera-system functionalities for both cinematic and gameplay experiences.

• Construct and uphold robust and adaptable gameplay systems.

• Write high-quality, optimized, and bug-free code that aligns with project objectives.

• Contribute to Cyberpunk 2, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of professional programming experience in the gaming industry.

• Strong expertise in C++ programming.

• Familiarity with Unreal Engine.

• Experience in collaborating across different functions with gameplay and cinematics to prototype and implement core in-game camera systems.

• Understanding of game engine architecture and algorithms.

• Proficient multi-threaded programming skills.

• Ability to think creatively and strategically to address technical challenges and foster technological innovation.

• Excellent communication skills capable of overcoming language and time zone barriers.

• Experience shipping at least one Unreal-based game (preferred, but not mandatory).

• Background in developing for current generation consoles (preferred, but not mandatory).
