This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to analyze user and business challenges, question assumptions, and determine the value of potential solutions.
• Conceptualize and decompose intricate solutions across user journeys, APIs, data, architecture, security, failure modes, and operational impacts.
• Produce diagrams and succinct technical documentation.
• Develop structured, staged, or phased technical strategies.
• Engage in development across frontend, mobile applications, APIs, services, and data models.
• Take ownership of testing, deployment, observability, production support, and incident analysis.
• Evaluate designs and code, share insights, and enhance engineering practices.
• Report directly to the Engineering Manager within the product squad.
• Collaborate within a small, self-sufficient product squad and a larger engineering team.
• Proficient full-lifecycle engineer with a blend of judgment and curiosity throughout the process from problem identification to production readiness.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and articulating decision trade-offs.
• Proven experience in high-quality engineering at scale or maturity.
• Strong background in developing and delivering production software.
• Fullstack development experience using TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and NodeJS across frontend, APIs, and backend services.
• Familiarity with building and launching mobile applications, preferably utilizing Capacitor or similar cross-platform technologies.
• Experience in developing and operating applications within a contemporary cloud environment, particularly using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker, Vercel, and Sanity CMS.
• Background in environments where quality, traceability, and responsible data management are critical; experience in healthcare, fintech, life sciences, or other regulated industries is especially relevant.
• Experience working within agile, cross-functional product teams alongside Product and Design.
• Knowledge of test automation and traceability practices.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK; the employer is unable to sponsor visas for work in the UK.
