Senior Fullstack React Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications aimed at customers, utilizing React and TypeScript.

• Contribute to mobile experiences using React Native as required.

• Take ownership of features and technical initiatives, overseeing them from problem definition and design through to development, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Create and enhance reliable backend services and APIs using Kotlin.

• Develop user experiences that enhance merchant and offer discovery, purchasing decisions, and checkout processes.

• Convert complex or vague product requirements into clear technical solutions and incremental delivery strategies.

• Collaborate with teams in Product, Design, Analytics, and Engineering across various technical areas.

• Design systems with a focus on scalability, availability, performance, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Implement automated testing, observability, performance monitoring, and secure deployment strategies.

• Diagnose production issues and engage in on-call responsibilities.

• Clearly communicate technical decisions, dependencies, risks, trade-offs, and delivery progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Engage in design and code reviews, technical documentation, mentoring, and ongoing improvements in engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be located in Colombia or Costa Rica exclusively.

• 5 to 8 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Proven experience in building and operating customer-facing products in a production environment using React.

• Strong grasp of frontend component architecture, state management, automated testing, performance, and accessibility.

• Experience in designing APIs, data models, asynchronous workflows, and service-to-service integrations.

• Knowledge in designing service-oriented or distributed systems, focusing on scalability, availability, low latency, maintainability, and cost-efficiency.

• Familiarity with designing and developing backend services.

• Experience in automated testing, observability, production debugging, and progressive deployment strategies.

• Experience supporting and managing production systems, including participation in on-call rotations.

• Proven ability to take ownership of initiatives throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

• Strong communication skills and experience working with distributed, cross-functional teams.

• Ability to effectively collaborate with US-based clients and stakeholders.

• Strong product mindset, capable of linking technical decisions to customer experience and measurable business outcomes.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity, assess technical trade-offs, and transform broad requirements into actionable solutions.
