This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
• Create and implement comprehensive, high-quality solutions that seamlessly integrate front-end and back-end technologies.
• Develop high-quality, reusable code that adheres to industry best practices.
• Design innovative, functional, maintainable, and performance-oriented web applications, websites, and components in collaboration with team members.
• Document application architecture, development workflows, and internal procedures to facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Engage in code reviews, assess peer-review pull requests, and offer constructive feedback.
• Contribute to project-based initiatives and maintain the internal library of reusable components.
• Provide work effort estimates.
• Offer senior-level support by mentoring developers and assisting with debugging issues.
• Foster strong team collaboration and enhance team communication.
• Uphold Reason One’s core values and support its B Corp social and environmental impact mission.
• Assist with new client projects and ongoing client engagements.
• Report directly to David Fahy, VP of Technology.
• Over 3 years in a technical leadership position such as tech lead, team lead, or principal web developer within an agency setting.
• More than 5 years of professional experience with React.
• At least 4 years of experience using Next.js, including recent work with App Router.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience using TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in HTML, CSS (SCSS), JavaScript, WebPack, and Git.
• Over 3 years of professional experience architecting and implementing websites across various platforms and services, including MACH architecture.
• At least 3 years of professional experience working with an enterprise headless CMS such as Optimizely, Sitecore AI, Storyblok, or Kontent.ai.
• More than 3 years of professional experience in developing and consuming GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Professional experience integrating clinical and operational healthcare platforms, including EHR systems (Epic, Cerner), patient portals (MyChart), and provider management tools (Kyruus Health, DexCare, Sparkle).
• Experience with serverless functions and edge workers, including Vercel, Cloudflare Workers, Azure Functions, or AWS Lambda.
• Capability to set up and manage DevOps for projects using GitHub Actions with deployments to platforms like Vercel or Netlify.
• Strong debugging skills and familiarity with performance and load testing tools.
• Practical experience with AI assistants such as Claude, demonstrating sound judgment regarding task suitability, verifying outputs, and managing confidential information appropriately.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
• Ability to juggle multiple competing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Capacity to contribute from concept and research through to implementation and ongoing maintenance.
• Professional experience with agile practices and methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Must reside in and be eligible to work in the US or Canada.
