This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and sustain robust, scalable, and maintainable software for a critical enterprise product-pricing platform.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of product pricing across more than 100 global markets.
• Create modern frontend applications using React.
• Build Spring Boot microservices that support REST APIs, event-driven integrations, and batch processing.
• Collaborate with shared domain libraries and leverage cloud-native infrastructure on AWS.
• Connect systems with Google BigQuery and Apache Kafka.
• Adhere to trunk-based development practices with automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Facilitate progressive promotion of environments from Development to Production.
• Enhance code review quality and establish architectural patterns.
• Mitigate technical debt and bolster testing and observability practices.
• Mentor engineers through coaching, technical discussions, and guidance.
• Provide technical leadership and contribute to shaping the team's engineering culture.
• Create reusable prompts, project context, steering files, MCP configurations, and team workflows for AI-assisted engineering.
• Uphold high standards for code quality, security, and engineering judgment.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years serving as a Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead.
• Proficient in Java 17+; Java 21 is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate.
• Strong understanding of architecture, concurrency, performance, resiliency, and error handling.
• Significant frontend experience with React, TypeScript, and modern state management tools like React Query or Zustand.
• Capable of designing scalable frontend architectures.
• Extensive knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, indexing, transactions, and migrations.
• Experience in designing and evolving production-grade REST APIs, including aspects like versioning, authentication/authorization, pagination, validation, and backward compatibility.
• Familiarity with unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
• Experience implementing quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in Git, trunk-based development, code reviews, automated CI/CD, and static analysis.
• Working knowledge of cloud-native applications on AWS, including EKS/Kubernetes, RDS, and S3, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of containerization, scalability, and observability principles.
• Practical experience with LLMs and AI products, including their development, integration, or operation in production environments.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and a genuine interest in guiding the team through mentorship, technical direction, and enhancing engineering standards.
• Regular use of AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Kiro, or comparable tools across software design, implementation, debugging, testing, documentation, and code exploration.
