This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and develop business logic and domain modules within an ASP.NET Core API, adhering to Clean Architecture principles (Domain, Application, Infrastructure, API layers).
• Create and sustain asynchronous background processing services (a .NET worker) for workflows that involve extensive document handling, managed through message queues.
• Build and maintain various Next.js/React applications catering to different user groups (internal operations/back-office tools and external/customer-facing portals), utilizing a shared package layer.
• Design relational data models and produce efficient data access code (EF Core / PostgreSQL).
• Integrate with cloud-native infrastructures: message queues, blob storage, secrets management, and managed identity providers.
• Implement authentication and authorization across diverse identity boundaries (workforce versus external/customer identity).
• Collaborate on API specifications and shared TypeScript types utilized by front-end applications.
• Engage in architectural decisions that maintain a scalable monolith, ensuring it remains modular, maintainable, and well-tested (unit, integration, contract, and architecture tests).
• Operate within a human-in-the-loop product framework: develop tools enabling operators to review, amend, and approve AI-assisted extraction results, ensuring full traceability of data transformations from raw intake to final approval.
• Write and uphold automated tests across the technology stack and contribute to the health of the CI/CD pipeline.
• Take part in code reviews, technical design discussions, and mentor junior engineers.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with extensive expertise in C# / .NET (ASP.NET Core).
• 4+ years of experience in developing production front-end applications using React, including Next.js (App Router, server components/actions, route handlers).
• Strong grasp of Clean/Layered Architecture, domain modeling, and the separation of concerns in complex back-end systems.
• Proficiency with relational databases and ORMs (EF Core or equivalent), including migrations and optimizing query performance.
• Solid TypeScript skills and a comfort level working within a monorepo featuring shared, versioned internal packages.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP equivalents will be considered) — messaging/queues, object storage, secrets management.
• Background in implementing or integrating OAuth2/OIDC-based authentication, preferably with enterprise identity providers (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID or similar).
• Strong discipline in automated testing: unit, integration, and contract testing on both back end and front end.
• Ability to work comfortably across the entire stack without hand-offs — from database schema to API to UI.
• Exceptional communication skills and experience collaborating in a small, senior, high-autonomy engineering team.
• Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
• Opportunities for professional growth and development.
• Flexible working hours and remote work options.
• Engaging and collaborative work environment.
