Senior Full-stack Software Engineer, Java, Quarkus, Angular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance backend applications utilizing Java, with an emphasis on performance, scalability, resilience, and maintainability.

• Construct and uphold microservices with Quarkus, aiding in the development of modern cloud-native architectures.

• Create and sustain frontend solutions using Angular, engaging across the application stack as needed.

• Design and execute event-driven solutions leveraging AWS services such as SQS, SNS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.

• Collaborate with distributed architectures and assist in the creation of dependable and resilient systems.

• Implement and advance observability practices, encompassing logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.

• Engage in architecture discussions, technical decision-making, code reviews, and initiatives aimed at enhancing engineering quality.

• Contribute to automation, continuous improvement, and boosting engineering productivity.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools, such as Cursor or developer copilots, to enhance development productivity and delivery quality.

• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams within an Agile/Scrum setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient experience in software engineering, particularly with a strong focus on backend development.

• High level of proficiency in Java, with practical experience in developing production-grade applications.

• Solid experience with Quarkus and Angular.

• Essential hands-on experience with AWS, especially SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and API Gateway.

• Experience in designing and developing microservices along with distributed architectures.

• Understanding of event-driven architecture and cloud-based application development.

• Familiarity with observability practices, including metrics, logging, and tracing.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Practical experience with AI-powered engineering tools, such as Cursor or developer copilots.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently while effectively collaborating with engineering and cross-functional teams.

• Intermediate/Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English.
