Senior Full Stack Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the technical direction and architectural design for key areas of the platform.

• Lead the execution of intricate product initiatives.

• Develop robust and scalable backend systems and APIs utilizing the .NET and MongoDB stack.

• Contribute to the overall architecture, infrastructure, and engineering strategy.

• Design and implement features from start to finish across .NET, MongoDB, React, and AWS.

• Make informed decisions regarding data modeling, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Play a role in enhancing infrastructure, observability, and platform functionalities across AWS.

• Engage in the engineering support rotation to resolve complex customer challenges.

• Mentor intermediate and junior engineers through pairing, coaching, and providing technical guidance.

• Utilize modern development tools, including AI coding assistants, while ensuring high quality.

• Elevate the technical capabilities and standards of the broader engineering team.

• Strong background in software development within a SaaS environment.

• Extensive experience in designing, building, and managing backend systems end-to-end.

• In-depth knowledge of C#, .NET, Web APIs, and MongoDB.

• Proficient in React and TypeScript for front-end development.

• Strong skills in architecture and system design.

• Good instincts regarding scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Practical experience with AWS.

• Comfortable working with Terraform.

• Solid understanding of CI/CD, observability, and the operation of production systems.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• Capable of collaborating effectively across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.

• A collaborative mindset with a desire to support the growth of others.

• Comfort in using AI-assisted development tools.
