Senior Full-Stack Engineer, TypeScript, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance features across the frontend, backend, and database, from product discussions through to release and ongoing maintenance.

• Collaborate with event specialists and founders to comprehend user requirements and devise effective solutions.

• Create and assess AI features and workflows.

• Establish clear success criteria, analyze failures, and convert real-world examples into regression tests.

• Make architectural choices in collaboration with the team.

• Ensure the product remains secure, reliable, and easy to maintain.

• Utilize coding agents when beneficial and review the resulting software for quality assurance.

• Present a project you have worked on during technical discussions, addressing technical decisions, product and UX choices, trade-offs, and lessons learned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in launching and maintaining production web products spanning frontend, backend, and database components.

• Experience in constructing AI agents or workflows, with skills in prompt engineering, tool calling, and failure management.

• Ability to generate evaluations using representative samples to assess quality, analyze failures, and test enhancements.

• Capability to design clear data models and select straightforward architecture.

• Familiarity with using coding agents and validating their outputs for accuracy, security, and maintainability.

• Proficiency in translating user requirements into practical features with intuitive, usable interfaces.

• Strong ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively in both spoken and written English.

• Prior experience with TypeScript and React is strongly preferred.

• Experience in operating AI agents or workflows in a production environment, including quality monitoring, latency management, cost control, and recovery from failures.

• Familiarity with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Drizzle, Neon, or Vercel is a plus.

• Experience in translating domain experts' knowledge into software is advantageous.

• Contributions to open-source projects are a plus.

• No specific number of years of experience is required; demonstrated skill is prioritized.

• Contract terms may vary based on location; freelance contracts may be applicable where the employer lacks a legal entity.

• Proficiency in English, both fluent and working, is essential.
