Senior Full Stack Engineer – Java/React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vietnam.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance applications utilizing Spring Boot, React, and the Microsoft/Java technology stack when applicable.

• Convert business requirements into functional, secure, and scalable solutions.

• Create and manage REST APIs, integrate messaging queues, and implement asynchronous/event-driven architectures.

• Oversee database schema design and migrations for MySQL/PostgreSQL; optimize queries and performance.

• Engage in infrastructure-as-code initiatives and deploy across multiple AWS environments.

• Secure APIs utilizing OAuth2/Spring Security with JWT and policy-based authorization.

• Maintain, upgrade, and refactor existing codebases.

• Develop and uphold unit and integration tests; support CI/CD processes and observability.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, product teams, QA, US-based stakeholders, and distributed engineering teams.

• Take part in Agile sprints, code reviews, technical research, internal training, and cross-testing.

• Mentor colleagues, investigate and resolve production issues, and foster continuous improvement.

• Suggest technical strategies and detailed implementation plans; perform additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot (MVC and/or WebFlux/Reactor).

• Significant experience with React, REST APIs, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap-based responsive UI.

• Extensive experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), covering schema design, migrations, and performance optimization.

• Familiarity with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, or similar) and event-driven architectures.

• Practical experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, and SSM.

• Understanding of OAuth2/Spring Security, JWT, and policy-based authorization.

• Proficiency in testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, or similar.

• Strong comprehension of performance, security, best practices, and design patterns.

• Experience with Web Services; familiarity with WCF or .NET is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Knowledge of the fintech/payments domain, Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code (IaC), reactive programming, observability, distributed applications, and Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills are preferred.
