This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Develop and enhance shared platform functionalities within the Core Assessment Platform
• Create and deploy component-driven, scalable, secure, and cost-efficient software systems
• Work collaboratively with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to guarantee quality and dependability
• Convert product functionalities into well-defined, testable engineering components
• Implement Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
• Lead and engage in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and various Agile ceremonies
• Participate in and lead peer code, design, and architecture evaluations
• Identify and resolve production issues
• Maintain and enhance security and development standards
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines and delivery processes
• Comprehend customer requirements and business workflows
• Assess features, estimate complexity, and collaborate with architects, lead engineers, and data partners to shape sprint plans
• Influence architectural choices, engineering standards, and technical strategies
• Mentor team members and take part in recruitment processes
• Over 7 years of experience in production-level software development managing the entire feature lifecycle
• Experience in the design, development, documentation, and deployment of software features
• Proficient in creating clear and accurate interfaces and integrations
• Expertise in reviewing and enhancing code structure and architecture for testability, maintainability, and scalability
• Practical experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AWS Serverless technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to collaborate with team members and Product Owners to prioritize the backlog
• Capability to propose new ideas and implement enhanced systems and processes
• Proficient communication and team leadership skills
• Ability to provide constructive feedback, mentor fellow team members, and engage in engineering interviews
• Willingness to travel 3–5 times a year to the NYC or Reston, VA office
• Authorization to work in the United States for any employer
