Senior Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Develop features from start to finish, encompassing backend services and the React frontend.

• Employ AI-assisted development and specification-driven workflows as the main approach to work.

• Manually code core component logic, particularly for deterministic and auditable financial calculations and validation processes.

• Evaluate pull requests with a focus on architectural integrity and security considerations.

• Offer backup review support in collaboration with the lead engineer as necessary.

• Guide less-experienced engineers through pair programming and code review practices.

• Assess the suitability of AI-assisted development tools, especially concerning sensitive data.

• Elevate significant architectural decisions to the attention of the lead engineer or CTO.

• Create and maintain a Claims Intelligence Platform that processes protected health information and delivers financial recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in full-stack engineering.

• Significant expertise in both backend and frontend development.

• Experience working with Python and PostgreSQL in a production environment.

• Knowledge of asynchronous patterns, database-level security, and disciplined migrations.

• Capability to assess React pull requests and detect structural issues and data exposure vulnerabilities.

• Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools on a daily basis.

• Strong judgment regarding when to bypass AI-assisted development tools.

• Familiarity with environments handling sensitive data, such as HIPAA, SOC 2, or PCI.

• Emphasis on maintaining audit trails and data access controls.

• Ability to function as a strong senior contributor without necessarily being the most senior individual.

• Background in healthcare or fintech is considered advantageous.
