Senior Full Stack Developer – Short Term Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions utilizing TypeScript, React, Node.js, and C# across both frontend and backend architectures.

• Create reusable services and shared business logic to enhance scalability, maintainability, and platform expansion.

• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform across AWS services.

• Develop and uphold automated testing solutions.

• Contribute to contemporary frontend architecture, including microfrontend applications and state management strategies.

• Develop and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, queries, and data access methodologies.

• Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments.

• Collaborate with architects, developers, and product teams to convert business requirements into technical solutions and deliver platform functionalities.

• Engage in code reviews, technical discussions, and initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Utilize AI coding assistants to enhance development efficiency and code quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 7 years of professional software development experience in creating commercial software applications.

• Extensive experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and frameworks such as NestJS or Fastify.

• Proficient in AWS, including services like Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudFront.

• Demonstrated experience with PostgreSQL, including database development and migrations.

• Familiarity with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks like Jest and Playwright.

• Knowledge of Docker and modern cloud-native application environments.

• Working knowledge of C#/.NET is essential.

• Experience utilizing AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar tools.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.

• Candidates must currently reside in Canada and possess legal authorization to work in Canada.
