Senior Full Stack AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and enhance the current internal CRM utilizing the Node.js/Express backend alongside the React frontend.

• Conduct a thorough audit of the codebase to identify gaps, bugs, technical debt, security vulnerabilities, and incomplete functionalities.

• Develop a comprehensive plan to finalize and stabilize the CRM.

• Design, test, and maintain features related to lead management, communications, agent workflows, reporting, and administrative tasks.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that impact live applications.

• Enhance AI capabilities by utilizing OpenAI and Anthropic APIs.

• Operate within the agentic tool gateway, including management of tool permissions, policy controls, and safety measures.

• Ensure real-time functionality by leveraging Redis, Socket.IO, and Twilio Voice.

• Safeguard customer and agent data through robust authentication, authorization, validation, logging, and tenant isolation.

• Oversee deployments and infrastructure management across Render, Cloudflare, AWS S3, MongoDB Atlas, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.

• Maintain CI/CD and production deployment workflows.

• Collaborate with the founder and operations manager to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Develop licensing and onboarding systems to replace the existing GoHighLevel process.

• Assist with additional internal systems, operational technology, and AI implementation initiatives.

• Assume the role of primary technical owner of the CRM and establish a reliable release process and development roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in senior-level full-stack software engineering.

• Proficient hands-on experience with Node.js, Express, React, and MongoDB.

• Experience in taking over, auditing, and enhancing an existing production codebase.

• Proven track record in building and maintaining secure, multi-tenant applications.

• Practical experience integrating OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM APIs into production environments.

• Familiarity with GitHub, CI/CD processes, production deployments, and debugging live applications.

• Strong grasp of authentication, authorization, data privacy, validation, and testing protocols.

• Experience with Redis and Socket.IO.

• Competence in managing production deployments and infrastructure.

• Ability to independently audit an existing codebase and identify necessary stabilization and completion tasks.

• Capability to make technical decisions without day-to-day engineering supervision.

• Proficient in owning technical projects from inception to completion.

• Skill in translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.

• Availability during U.S. business hours, specifically from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
