Principal AI Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a technical authority for Generative AI and AI-driven architecture throughout the organization.

• Lead the strategy and solution design for GenAI utilizing LLMs, RAG, AI agents, vector databases, prompt engineering frameworks, and model orchestration platforms.

• Architect and manage the implementation of Model Context Protocols.

• Design and oversee multi-agent and agent-to-agent orchestration architectures.

• Define orchestration strategies that integrate LLMs, agents, tools, workflows, and downstream systems.

• Collaborate with business and product stakeholders to convert business challenges into AI-driven solutions and assist in business-case development.

• Facilitate architectural discovery and design workshops.

• Create reusable AI architecture patterns, reference architectures, and best practices.

• Ensure architectural adaptability and future-proofing through modular, abstract designs.

• Influence enterprise standards regarding AI architecture, security, data governance, and responsible AI practices.

• Provide architectural advice to delivery teams by assessing designs and validating implementation strategies.

• Deliver expert-level individual technical leadership and shape DIRECTV’s Generative AI and enterprise architecture strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics; or equivalent professional experience.

• 5–7 years of experience in Enterprise and Solution Architecture roles is required.

• Extensive knowledge in Generative AI and AI/ML architectures, including LLM-based systems, RAG, vector stores, orchestration layers, and AI platform design.

• Proven track record in designing multi-agent systems, agent orchestration frameworks, or context-driven GenAI platforms within enterprise settings.

• Demonstrated capability to create secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise architectures.

• Experience in applying Generative AI in enterprise-scale, production environments.

• Familiarity with the architectures and constraints within the Media and Telecom industries.

• Experience in developing or designing PCI-compliant application architectures.

• Practical architectural experience with Salesforce, MuleSoft, Genesys, and enterprise GenAI platforms or frameworks.

• Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI practices, data privacy, and regulatory considerations.

• Must reside in the United States, excluding Alaska.

• A background check may be required due to regular access to proprietary data.
