This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +13 more states.
• Oversee network-wide process analysis and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and reliability across fulfillment centers.
• Manage complex improvement projects autonomously from identification through to sustainment, taking ownership of scope, approach, and outcomes.
• Design and assess pilot programs to validate new processes prior to full-scale implementation.
• Utilize statistical analysis to confirm improvement hypotheses and evaluate process capability.
• Create Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and showcase the effectiveness of supply chain improvements.
• Develop and enforce control plans and sustainment mechanisms to safeguard gains and prevent regression post-project completion.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to implement and enhance automated systems, including robotics, sortation systems, and conveyors.
• Employ Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies to uncover opportunities within automated workflows, minimizing downtime, enhancing throughput, and boosting system reliability.
• Establish and sustain Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) programs for automated equipment and conveyance systems, which include PM schedules, inspection checklists, and escalation protocols.
• Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics for automated systems and initiate structured improvement actions when targets are not met.
• Conduct sustainment reviews and audits to guarantee that automation-related enhancements are preserved over time and integrated into standard operations.
• Engage with vendors and internal technical teams to incorporate CI principles into equipment commissioning, changeovers, and upgrades.
• Track and report on PM compliance, trends in equipment reliability, and automation uptime as part of overall performance management.
• Apply advanced statistical techniques to analyze process capability, validate hypotheses, and quantify the impact of improvements.
• Establish and maintain performance baselines; create enterprise-level dashboards and reporting tools for visibility to senior stakeholders.
• Convert the voice of the customer into quantifiable, data-driven performance metrics that guide prioritization and investment decisions.
• Ensure data integrity by collaborating with IT and analytics teams; optimize the underlying analytics systems.
• Mentor and support CI team members and cross-functional colleagues on tools, frameworks, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Clearly communicate complex CI insights and outcomes to senior stakeholders, tailoring content and framing to suit the audience.
• Organize Kaizen events and cross-functional workshops to promote rapid, structured problem-solving on a larger scale.
• Promote the adoption of improvements through structured change management and ongoing stakeholder engagement.
• Represent the voice of the customer during prioritization and decision-making discussions with leadership.
• Oversee projects from conception through execution, ensuring alignment with company objectives and CI strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and standard operating procedures throughout the network.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets; proactively manage risks and escalate any barriers encountered.
• Integrate sustainment into every project plan by defining ownership, audit cadence, and response protocols prior to project closure.
• Green Belt or Black Belt Six Sigma certification, or a minimum of 3 years of practical Lean Six Sigma experience in a complex operational setting.
• Demonstrated success in independently managing end-to-end CI projects with measurable and sustainable outcomes.
• Proficient in statistical analysis tools and methods (e.g., Minitab, process capability, hypothesis testing).
• Strong capability to convey complex analytical findings to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in facilitating Kaizen events and leading structured problem-solving workshops.
