Senior Frontend Engineer – Media Production

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Lead the creation and execution of a contemporary headless front-end architecture for a widely-used global news platform.

• Ensure timely delivery of significant front-end updates for a launch scheduled for early next year.

• Establish and promote front-end engineering standards focusing on code quality, component design, testing, and code reviews.

• Oversee Core Web Vitals, SEO, accessibility, and page speed performance across user-facing interfaces.

• Integrate adaptable headless CMS solutions with next-gen in-house backend APIs.

• Mentor mid-level engineers and collaborate with engineering leadership regarding architectural guidance.

• Utilize and continuously enhance AI-assisted and agentic engineering workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of senior-level front-end responsibility on production systems.

• Extensive experience with React and Next.js, including SSR, SSG, ISR, and App Router.

• Proficient in TypeScript, utilizing it as the primary programming language.

• Demonstrated experience in connecting front ends with headless CMS solutions and APIs.

• Strong knowledge of Core Web Vitals, CDNs, caching, and asset optimization techniques.

• Regular use of AI coding tools and agentic workflows.

• Professional proficiency in English for day-to-day interactions with a US team.

• Must reside in Latin America, as specified by the application requirement and company team context.
