Senior Frontend Engineer – Media Production

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Lead the design and execution of a contemporary headless front-end architecture for a high-traffic international news platform.

• Ensure timely delivery of significant front-end releases aimed at an ambitious launch goal set for early next year.

• Establish and promote engineering standards pertaining to code quality, component design patterns, testing, and code reviews.

• Take responsibility for Core Web Vitals, SEO, accessibility, and page-speed performance for user-facing elements.

• Integrate scalable headless CMS solutions with internal backend APIs.

• Guide mid-level engineers and collaborate with engineering leadership on architectural strategy.

• Utilize and continuously enhance AI-assisted and agentic workflows throughout the engineering lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of senior-level front-end ownership on production systems.

• Extensive production experience with React and Next.js, including SSR, SSG, ISR, and App Router.

• Proficient in TypeScript as the primary programming language.

• Demonstrated experience linking front ends with headless CMS solutions and APIs.

• Strong grasp of Core Web Vitals, CDNs, caching, and asset optimization.

• Regular use of AI coding tools and agentic workflows.

• Professional proficiency in English for daily collaboration with a US-based team.

• Currently residing in Latin America is a must.
