Senior Frontend Engineer, Home Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate across various departments such as product, design, and engineering to develop products and features.

• Contribute to standards for developer workflows, suggest best practices, and provide mentorship to engineers.

• Oversee the complete development cycle for significant projects, including design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.

• Write and review code and design documentation, offer feedback on product specifications and mockups, and ensure timely project delivery.

• Lead the planning, development, and execution of essential projects within Reddit’s web architecture.

• Collaborate with backend and other client engineers.

• Facilitate metrics-driven execution with an emphasis on operational excellence and system observability.

• Work alongside leadership and cross-functional teams to establish product and engineering roadmaps.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience in one or more front-end focused programming languages; including Javascript, Typescript, and ES6.

• Proficiency in one or more front-end web frameworks such as LIT, Polymer, React, Vue, or Angular, along with experience in CSS.

• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to decompose and prioritize tasks while keeping projects on track.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• A strong emphasis on user experience and usability.

• Experience in social technologies is a significant advantage.

• An entrepreneurial mindset; self-motivated, innovative, and proactive in dynamic environments.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of discussing complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Familiarity with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, and basic Thrift, along with the ability to design and implement maintainable APIs is a plus.

• Understanding of large-scale web applications, high requests per second, and complex page considerations is a major advantage.
