Senior Frontend Engineer – Full-stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead the frontend development of a TypeScript/Angular application utilizing Storybook-driven components and ensuring Cypress e2e coverage.

• Take full ownership of the user experience from component architecture and state management to the API design.

• Create intricate, data-rich dashboards, monitoring views, large tables, differences, and detailed drill-downs.

• Enhance component architecture, state management, frontend performance, and responsive design.

• Develop using the component library and Storybook while upholding a consistent design system.

• Write tests at all levels and sustain a meaningful Cypress e2e suite.

• Design interfaces for agentic, LLM-powered workflows.

• Advance frontend systems, conventions, Storybook coverage, and tests for agentic development.

• Define consumed APIs and implement necessary changes to the Java backend.

• Guide backend-focused engineers in frontend development practices.

• Work collaboratively with product teams, designers, and customers to identify development priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building frontend solutions for real products, including complex single-page applications with active users.

• Proficient in TypeScript and well-versed in a modern framework; Angular is preferred, but strong React/Vue engineers are welcome to transition to Angular.

• Experience in component architecture, state management, rendering performance, responsive design, and attention to visual detail.

• Proven experience writing tests at all levels, including end-to-end tests using Cypress or Playwright.

• Capability to read and modify Java services.

• Skill in designing APIs from the perspective of the consumer.

• Strong SQL capabilities.

• Understanding of how API design influences round-trips, data flow, and perceived UI latency.

• Experience with AI coding agents, such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools in a production environment.

• Ability to work autonomously within a distributed, asynchronous team spread across more than 12 countries.

• Fluent in English.

• Preferred: Experience with data-heavy or developer-tool products, data visualization, monitoring, or analytics user interfaces.

• Preferred: Ownership of design systems or component libraries.

• Preferred: Experience in multi-tenant SaaS at scale or in high-growth startups.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Python.

• Preferred: Experience in shipping agentic workflows, LLM-powered features, tool-using agents, or AI-driven automation.

• Preferred: Industry experience in data quality, data management, data observability, or ML monitoring.
