Senior Frontend Developer – Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

• Take charge of the technical direction for intricate front-end functionalities.

• Provide support to the team through design decisions, reviews, and mentoring.

• Utilize React and Next.js engineering expertise for architecture, performance, and integrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern hooks-based component design.

• Capability to design scalable front-end architecture with a single source of truth and distinct boundaries between UI, business logic, and data access.

• Experience in designing reusable component libraries and ensuring consistency in component APIs.

• Profound knowledge of Zustand, Redux Toolkit, or a similar state-management approach, including efficient selector design.

• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and SCSS, with a focus on responsive design, accessibility, and style isolation.

• Experience in implementing interfaces based on detailed visual specifications and utilizing design systems such as IBM Carbon or Material UI.

• Solid REST API integration experience, including typed models, adapters, polling, and effective handling of missing or inconsistent data.

• Experience in defining or validating API contracts with backend teams and applying contract-testing principles.

• Proven expertise in performance optimization, including profiling, memoization, code splitting, lazy loading, and bundle analysis.

• Awareness of frame rate, GPU utilization, and memory behavior on graphics-intensive screens.

• Practical experience with WebGL, three.js, or React Three Fiber, including scene and camera control, pointer picking, and animation timelines.

• Experience managing events and interactions across layered UI and graphics surfaces.

• Experience integrating map SDKs, managing coordinate systems, implementing provider fallbacks, and securely handling API tokens.

• Ability to create components that integrate seamlessly into an existing host application through clean props and callbacks, isolated styles, and without unintended global side effects.

• Strong testing experience with Vitest or Jest and React Testing Library, backed by a practical testing strategy.

• Experience with strict TypeScript, error boundaries, cross-browser testing, and browser DevTools.

• Familiarity with contributing to CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and high-quality pull-request reviews.

• Experience using Azure DevOps.

• Proven technical leadership through mentoring, task breakdown, estimation, and technical documentation.

• Understanding of front-end security basics, including secure environment configuration, safe logging, and responsible third-party dependency usage.

• Nice to have: advanced animation libraries such as GSAP or Framer Motion; charting and data-visualization libraries; visual regression testing or end-to-end testing using Playwright; internationalization and localization at scale; micro-frontends, monorepos, or design-system governance; production observability, release support, and incident investigation; technical discovery or proof-of-concept work for complex interactions.
