Senior Frontend Developer – Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

• Take charge of the technical direction for intricate front-end features.

• Assist the team by providing design guidance, conducting reviews, and offering mentorship.

• Oversee decisions regarding architecture, performance, and integration.

• Decompose tasks, estimate workloads, and produce comprehensive technical documentation.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, manage Git workflows, and conduct pull-request reviews.

• Spearhead technical discovery or proof-of-concept initiatives for complex interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern hooks-based component design.

• Capability to design scalable front-end architecture with a single source of truth and distinct boundaries between UI, business logic, and data access.

• Proficient in designing reusable component libraries and ensuring consistent component APIs.

• In-depth experience with Zustand, Redux Toolkit, or a similar state-management approach, including efficient selector design.

• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and SCSS, with a focus on responsive design, accessibility, and style isolation.

• Experience in implementing interfaces based on detailed visual specifications and utilizing design systems such as IBM Carbon or Material UI.

• Robust REST API integration experience, including typed models, adapters, polling, and defensive handling of missing or inconsistent data.

• Experience in defining or validating API contracts with backend teams and applying contract-testing principles.

• Demonstrated expertise in performance, including profiling, memoization, code splitting, lazy loading, and bundle analysis.

• Awareness of frame rate, GPU utilization, and memory behavior on graphics-intensive screens.

• Practical experience with WebGL, three.js, or React Three Fiber, encompassing scene and camera control, pointer picking, and animation timelines.

• Experience in managing events and interactions across layered UI and graphics surfaces.

• Familiarity with integrating map SDKs, managing coordinate systems, implementing provider fallbacks, and securely handling API tokens.

• Ability to create components that seamlessly integrate into an existing host application through clean props and callbacks, isolated styles, and no unintended global side effects.

• Strong background in testing with Vitest or Jest and React Testing Library, supported by a practical testing strategy.

• Experience with strict TypeScript, error boundaries, cross-browser testing, and browser DevTools.

• Background in contributing to CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and high-quality pull-request reviews.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps.

• Proven technical leadership demonstrated through mentoring, task breakdown, estimation, and technical documentation.

• Understanding of front-end security principles, including secure environment configuration, safe logging, and responsible use of third-party dependencies.

• Experience with advanced animation libraries such as GSAP or Framer Motion.

• Proficiency in charting and data visualization libraries.

• Experience with visual regression testing or end-to-end testing using Playwright.

• Background in internationalization and localization at scale.

• Familiarity with micro-frontends, monorepos, or design-system governance.

• Experience with production observability, release support, and incident investigation.

• Experience leading technical discovery or proof-of-concept initiatives for complex interactions.
