Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the entire client relationship from initial discovery to final closure.

• Make architectural and development decisions that are suitable for the client's specific environments and constraints.

• Independently conduct discovery sessions, architecture reviews, and stakeholder interviews.

• Convert vague issues into clearly defined, actionable tasks.

• Recognize and manage scope creep while highlighting risks at an early stage.

• Spot and present opportunities for expansion.

• Facilitate lasting capabilities through well-documented, executable, and maintainable software or automation solutions.

• Contribute to the intellectual assets of the practice after each engagement by developing patterns, templates, and reusable components.

• Lead individual technical engagements or single-function AI adoption programs based on your area of expertise.

• Define, architect, develop, and conclude client engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of engineering or technical delivery experience, with substantial time spent in embedded or client-facing roles.

• Proven experience in solo account delivery, demonstrating your ability to manage a client relationship from initiation to closure without oversight.

• In-depth hands-on experience in one or more areas: LLM application development, cloud-native architecture (preferably AWS), scalable backend systems, or enterprise business automation.

• Demonstrated capability to make autonomous technical decisions and ensure the quality of your delivery within client environments.

• Strong communication skills: technically detailed with engineers, yet clear and confident with VP-level executives; capable of adjusting the level of detail without sacrificing precision.

• High adaptability to ambiguity; consistently delivers value even before all requirements are clearly defined.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the country where this position is located.

• No visa or work permit sponsorship will be provided.

• Preferred: Experience in developing production AI systems, including RAG pipelines, agents, fine-tuned models, or LLM-native applications.

• Preferred: Practical experience with Claude, AWS Bedrock, or similar, including knowledge of model parameters, prompt structure, and tool utilization.

• Preferred: Background in a consulting firm, systems integrator, or professional services setting.

• Preferred: Knowledge of SOW-based delivery and scope management.

• Preferred: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, or comparable certification.

• Operationally preferred: Experience in management consulting, enterprise SaaS implementation, or a well-understood business function.

• Operationally preferred: Experience in designing and executing AI enablement programs for non-technical business audiences.

• Operationally preferred: Hands-on experience with tools like Zapier, Power Automate, Airtable, or similar; familiarity with Salesforce, Workday, or ServiceNow.

• Operationally preferred: Proven ability to work collaboratively across Finance, Legal, and Operations teams.
