This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as a strategic collaborator with Product leadership, assisting in the formulation of both short-term priorities and long-term strategies for the core business.
• Construct driver-based financial models that link product performance and customer behavior to key metrics such as revenue, ARR, retention, and profitability.
• Assess growth initiatives, product investments, pricing strategies, and resource allocation choices through detailed financial and strategic analysis.
• Create business cases and scenario analyses that clearly outline anticipated returns, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
• Collaborate with teams across Product, Finance, Data Science, and Marketing to set targets, define success metrics, and assess business performance.
• Detect emerging trends, performance deficiencies, and growth potentials, converting intricate data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Enhance the speed, quality, and scalability of financial analysis by implementing automation, standardized processes, and AI-driven workflows.
• Employ AI-driven methods and modern tools to refine financial analysis and bolster decision-making support.
• Engage with Product, Finance, Data Science, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams in collaborative efforts.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative discipline.
• At least eight years of pertinent experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or a comparable analytical role.
• Proficient in advanced financial modeling, including the development of driver-based forecasts, scenario analyses, and investment cases.
• Experience in supporting Product, Growth, or Monetization teams within a subscription-based or SaaS organization.
• Strong grasp of SaaS business models and metrics, including ARR, conversion rates, retention, churn, customer lifetime value, marketing customer acquisition metrics, and unit economics.
• Capable of translating complex data and ambiguous business inquiries into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
• Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and create order in dynamic or unclear situations.
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the capacity to influence senior leaders and non-financial stakeholders.
• Practical experience utilizing AI tools to enhance analysis, modeling, automation, communication, or other everyday workflows.
• Preferred: experience in evaluating product-led growth initiatives, pricing and packaging strategies, customer funnel performance, or retention tactics.
• Preferred: experience in developing long-term plans and strategic financial models for a scaled technology company.
• Preferred: familiarity with SQL, data visualization platforms, or other tools for independently accessing and analyzing business data.
• Preferred: collaboration experience with Data Science, Analytics, Product Development, or Engineering teams to define metrics and assess product performance.
