Senior Financial Insights Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Identify and rectify P&L discrepancies through detailed analysis of financial and transactional information.

• Develop and sustain alerting systems based on AI and automation to highlight issues in real time.

• Cultivate an expert-level comprehension of marketplace data, reporting capabilities, and invoicing procedures.

• Diagnose invoice-related challenges and collaborate with retailer partnerships for resolutions.

• Connect and analyze intricate datasets from various systems utilizing SQL, Excel or Google Sheets, and Python.

• Summarize findings into clear, visually engaging narratives.

• Present insights to both internal and external stakeholders using Google Slides or PowerPoint.

• Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Prioritize significant issues and devise efficient, high-quality solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Management Consulting, focusing on commercial deals or growth initiatives in technology, e-commerce, marketplace, logistics, or retail.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Strong analytical and technical competencies.

• Ability to craft engaging narratives and uncover impactful insights.

• Capability to create clear, visually attractive stories that persuade retailers to take action.

• Proficiency in connecting large datasets from multiple systems and establishing real-time alerting mechanisms.

• Experience with PowerPoint and Google Slides.

• Skilled in writing advanced SQL queries.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and efficiently break down complex problems.

• Preferred: Over 2 years of experience applying AI solutions within a business sector.

• Preferred: Familiarity with marketplace or retailer/CPG partnerships, platform economics, or merchant POS data analysis.

• Preferred: Collaboration with Sales or Account Management on deal terms and partner economics.

• Preferred: Experience in Investment Banking or Consulting.
