Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with public safety organizations to identify operational needs, devise solutions, and set up software configurations.

• Work alongside clients to tailor systems and meet business objectives.

• Gather customer insights and desired results for business process documentation, including user stories, workflows, and functional requirements.

• Identify intricate business needs and partner with Technical Business Analysts, Project Managers, Solution Architects, and Product teams to design and implement solutions.

• Evaluate the impact and feasibility of suggested solutions, consider alternatives, and deliver outcomes for agencies.

• Design, oversee, and document functional/user acceptance testing and training sessions.

• Convert complex business requirements into technical configurations.

• Utilize Axon best practices for software configurations, resolve technical issues, and ensure consistent environment structure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a registered attendee of AfroTech 2026.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 2-3+ years of relevant experience in SaaS implementation.

• Background in or experience with Law Enforcement.

• Proven experience in managing process improvements or facilitating change management within teams.

• Demonstrated ability to think outcome-driven and make difficult trade-off decisions.

• Self-motivated individual who excels at problem-solving and is comfortable with ambiguity.

• Openness to lead company-wide initiatives across various departments.

• Experience in technical delivery and/or familiarity with coding languages.

• Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check.

• Capability to handle confidential and highly sensitive information.

• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
