Senior Financial Controller – AI-Enabled

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee month-end and year-end financial closing procedures for businesses based in the US.

• Utilize AI technologies, including ChatGPT Advanced Data Analysis and Microsoft Copilot, to assess financial datasets, detect spending irregularities, and create narrative performance reports.

• Create and sustain rolling cash flow projections, financial models, and annual budgets through AI-enhanced forecasting software.

• Implement and manage AI-driven OCR and AP/AR automation tools to optimize invoice processing and minimize errors.

• Compile and deliver monthly financial performance packages, comprising P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, to executive leadership.

• Work in partnership with external CPA firms on tax preparation and compliance obligations.

• Offer strategic financial insights and modernize financial processes for expanding US-based SMEs.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6+ years of progressive experience in Financial Controlling, FP&A, Corporate Finance, or as a Controller.

• Demonstrated experience supporting U.S.-based companies or clients.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Hands-on experience in managing month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Experience in preparing and analyzing P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuite.

• Practical experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot for financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and process automation.

• Familiarity with financial automation, OCR, and AP/AR tools like Bill.com or Dext.

• Advanced English proficiency (C1 level).

• Excellent executive communication and presentation abilities.

• Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling.

• Experience implementing AI-driven financial workflows.

• Experience in cash flow forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.

• Experience collaborating with external CPA firms on tax and compliance issues.

• Expertise in building automated reports, macros, and complex Excel formulas.

• High level of integrity, independence, and motivation to innovate traditional financial workflows.
