Senior Financial Controller – AI-Enabled

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the month-end and year-end financial closing processes for businesses based in the US

• Utilize AI tools to evaluate financial data, detect spending irregularities, and produce narrative reports on financial performance

• Create and sustain rolling cash-flow forecasts, financial models, and yearly budgets

• Leverage AI-assisted forecasting software to anticipate trends

• Implement and manage AI-driven OCR and AP/AR automation tools to enhance invoice processing and minimize errors

• Compile and present monthly financial performance packages, which include P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements

• Partner with external CPA firms for tax preparation and compliance obligations

• Assist business owners as a technology-savvy financial co-pilot

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6+ years of progressive experience in Financial Controlling, FP&A, Corporate Finance, or as a Controller

• Demonstrated experience supporting clients or companies based in the U.S.

• Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards

• Practical experience in managing month-end and year-end closing activities

• Experience in preparing and analyzing P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, budgets, and financial forecasts

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuite

• Hands-on experience utilizing AI tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot for financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and process automation

• Familiarity with financial automation, OCR, and AP/AR tools such as Bill.com or Dext

• Advanced English proficiency (C1)

• Exceptional executive communication and presentation capabilities

• Advanced Excel and financial modeling expertise

• Experience in implementing AI-powered financial workflows

• Proficient in cash flow forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial modeling

• Experience coordinating with external CPA firms on tax and compliance issues

• Skilled in creating automated reports, macros, and intricate Excel formulas
