Senior Financial Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +45 more states.

📋 Description

• Prepare, analyze, and assess subsidiary general ledgers.

• Create and sustain highly intricate operating and financial reports.

• Ensure that monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and statutory accounting principles (SAP), including necessary footnote disclosures.

• Conduct advanced financial analyses and execute special projects as mandated by financial management.

• Collaborate with and nurture relationships with external auditors and public accounting firms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a focus or major in accounting or equivalent educational background.

• CPA or MBA is preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in public accounting.

• Public accounting experience is ideally from a Big Four firm.

• Experience in insurance accounting is an advantage.
