Senior Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Service and repair intricate office equipment at client locations within a designated geographic area.

• Focus on servicing and repairing a core selection of highly sophisticated office products.

• Oversee territory management, inventory, customer relationships, and call-handling protocols.

• Provide advanced technical support to fellow technicians.

• Meet productivity goals and generate revenue opportunities through leads and assessments.

• Conduct diagnostics, installations, removals, retrofits, troubleshooting, and component replacements on black-and-white, color, and multifunctional devices.

• Complete technical training on new equipment.

• Lead on-the-job training and technical seminars for technicians.

• Act as a role model while proactively identifying areas for improvement.

• Take on Field Technology Service Manager duties as needed.

• Collaborate with sales partners to optimize equipment leads and upgrade opportunities.

• Accurately maintain parts and car-stock inventories.

• Carry out administrative tasks and adhere to company policies.

• Manage challenging customer situations and unresolved technical issues.

• Investigate and address equipment problems while ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Communicate effectively with dispatch, parts, field service management, and external customers.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• High-level technical skills typically acquired through completing a technical school program and 3+ years of relevant experience.

• At least 2 years as a Technology Service Consultant I.

• Possession of 1 Industry Certification.

• Minimum of 2 years of meeting or exceeding performance standards.

• Valid state driver's license required.

• Minimum auto insurance coverage as per Ricoh policy for positions requiring extensive personal car usage for company business.

• Excellent understanding of electro-mechanical devices and electronics.

• In-depth knowledge of assigned equipment.

• Methodical problem-solving approach.

• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

• Outstanding customer service and follow-up capabilities.

• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, parts books, and related publications.

• Capability to move objects on wheels weighing up to 400 pounds.

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Dexterity with hand tools and electronic testing equipment.
