Senior Ethics and Compliance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Support the implementation of various simultaneous, intricate, and time-sensitive compliance initiatives.

• Compose and modify compliance policies and procedures, which encompass compliance program policies and departmental guidelines.

• Create and refine compliance publications, such as OhioHealth's Code of Conduct, content for the Ethics and Compliance eSource webpage, articles, and other materials.

• Aid in documenting the annual compliance risk assessment.

• Contribute to the annual review of compliance effectiveness.

• Develop communications related to compliance.

• Manage the compliance exit interview processes.

• Assist in overseeing the OhioHealth Hotline/Ethics and Compliance Hotlink, including the assignment of reported issues and the preparation of associated reports.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to review and update general and specialized compliance training and educational modules.

• Generate reports and provide assistance for the Ethics and Compliance Senior Leadership Committee Board.

• Prepare materials for committee meetings, including minutes and other reports.

• Execute additional responsibilities assigned by compliance leadership.

• Promote safety, quality, and efficiency as part of a High Reliability Organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• Certification in Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC), or Certified in Healthcare Compliance-Fellow (CHC-F) is required or must be obtained within one year of employment.

• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience is required for this position.

• A degree accompanied by five years of direct and/or related experience is acceptable.

• At least five years of experience in pertinent fields such as compliance, legal, human resources, training and education, communications, internal audit, Joint Commission, clinical quality and patient safety, and/or health information management.

• Proficient in business writing, editing, publishing, and drafting reports, policies and procedures, articles, and/or white papers.

• Experience in ensuring compliance with regulatory agreement requirements.

• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, billing, coding, referral relationships, conflicts of interest, HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and OIG guidelines.

• Proficient in analyzing compliance data, audit results, hotline reports, investigation trends, and operational metrics.

• Skilled in preparing reports, dashboards, summaries, and supporting documentation.

• Experience in conducting investigations, which includes issue intake, fact gathering, document review, root-cause analysis, and recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.

• Proven experience in developing and revising compliance-related policies.

• Experience with sanction exclusion screening, conflicts of interest, and compliance requirements within a research institution.

• Skilled in creating compliance education materials and delivering workforce training.
