This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Create cost plans and estimates from the initial concept through detailed design across various geographic locations, collaborating with both internal and external teams.

• Present and update cost plans during significant design milestones.

• Provide program-level estimates for designated scopes of work.

• Oversee, manage, and coordinate support staff.

• Evaluate proposed design modifications and new technologies, preparing estimates with appropriate accuracy levels.

• Gather, analyze, and summarize cost data from completed projects to inform cost model trends.

• Evaluate the cost effectiveness of alternative products and value engineering concepts at the program level.

• Facilitate training for Development and external Estimating teams on new project estimating tools and templates.

• Assist in the preparation of leadership presentations for the client’s Preconstruction and Estimating team.

• Provide Life Cycle Costing models.

• Comply with relevant SOX control responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field.

• A minimum of 5–7 years of applicable experience.

• Experience in construction cost management roles, such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Cost Controls, or similar positions.

• Experience in providing conceptual estimating services and/or pre-construction services at a construction management or related firm.

• Experience supporting large-scale construction projects and programs.

• Strong understanding of technical aspects of the construction industry, including value management and value engineering.

• Exceptional communication skills.
