This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Deliver technical expertise and enhance AECOM’s leadership in conveyance infrastructure, treatment, remediation, and construction.
• Contribute to intricate water, wastewater, stormwater, and infrastructure systems.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and organizational leadership.
• Represent AECOM in pursuits, industry associations, standards-development initiatives, and technical forums.
• Utilize company estimating systems and methodologies.
• Analyze estimates to foresee critical project challenges.
• Engage in management strategy and planning development.
• Assess business opportunities and their potential profitability.
• Oversee junior staff, set goals and expectations, and document their performance.
• Identify and nurture talent while participating in staffing decisions.
• Monitor action items effectively.
• Address technical issues with contractors during negotiation and contract execution.
• Prepare crew build-ups and determine production rates.
• Select appropriate construction equipment.
• Develop Work Breakdown Structures.
• Manage the preparation of estimates and lead project team estimate reviews.
• Assess scope and execution plans as the foundation for estimates.
• Prepare Estimate Plans, Bases of Estimate, and qualifications.
• Gather, analyze, and archive project data while creating historical documentation.
• Compare current project estimates to prior performance and market benchmark data.
• Assist in preparing materials for Executive Review Committee presentations.
• BA/BS in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, combined with 6 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Significant experience in leading complex estimating and constructability initiatives in the water and wastewater sectors.
• Proven capability to convey complex technical concepts to clients, executive leadership, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Preferred: Over 10 years of experience in leading complex estimating and constructability efforts in water and wastewater.
• Exposure to intricate, multidisciplinary project environments in the water and wastewater domain.
• Experience in managing schedules with minimal supervision.
• Ability to independently execute all necessary tasks to complete primary estimating and constructability elements for projects.
• US employment authorization is required; sponsorship is not available currently or in the future.
