This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Perform ergonomic-focused assessments for policyholders to pinpoint sources of loss, risk exposures, and areas for improvement.

• Facilitate discussions on cost-benefit analyses and ROI with key decision-makers.

• Create service plans aimed at decreasing the frequency and severity of musculoskeletal claims while enhancing operational efficiency.

• Conduct evaluations of jobs and workstations to identify risks related to musculoskeletal issues.

• Design tailored engineering and administrative controls.

• Support insured clients with policies, programs, procedures, work instructions, and training materials.

• Assess and recommend modifications to ergonomics-related policies and programs.

• Analyze loss data and perform trending analyses.

• Foster ergonomic success stories backed by exposure identification and cost-benefit presentations.

• Offer guidance and collaborate with Risk Engineering personnel.

• Develop tools, resources, and deliverables for Risk Engineering consultants and clients.

• Identify opportunities for ergonomic interventions and elevate complex ergonomic tasks.

• Share trends, innovations, and solutions in the field of ergonomics.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from an accredited four-year institution is mandatory.

• A minimum of 3 years of consulting experience in ergonomics related to insurance loss prevention or general industry is essential.

• Academic specialization in Occupational Safety and Health or Risk Management.

• A Master’s degree in Ergonomics, Occupational Safety and Health, Human Factors Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Professional designations such as CPE, CAE, AEP, CIE, etc., are recommended based on area of expertise.

• Licensing is not required.

• At least 5 years of experience in a safety-related position within the industry.

• Experience in property and casualty insurance is highly preferred.

• Capability to obtain or maintain one professional safety certification/designation, such as CSP, CIH, CPCU, CFPS, ARM, etc.

• Proficiency to manage all Survey and Service assignments across various business lines.

• Strong consultative skills with a high level of proficiency in delivering services.

• Ability to illustrate operational loss analysis reports and conduct accident investigations.

• Competence in producing detailed ergonomic reports and service plans.

• Skill to provide consultative loss analysis and recommendations through business correspondence.

• Ability to deliver safety training that addresses loss prevention, including ergonomics.

• Proficient in utilizing the necessary tools and products to provide required services.

• Candidates must reside in the Northeast or Southeast regions.
