This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Lead and conduct intricate environmental assessments, inspections, and monitoring initiatives concerning asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and various environmental risks.
• Act as a technical advisor and subject matter expert for hazardous materials evaluations, indoor air quality assessments, and remediation efforts.
• Manage field operations, including air, bulk, and surface sampling programs.
• Oversee and analyze environmental data, prepare technical documentation, and offer recommendations to clients and project stakeholders.
• Supervise remediation and abatement oversight activities, which encompass contractor monitoring, final visual inspections, and clearance air sampling.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and PADEP standards.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables effectively.
• Foster and maintain client relationships through technical advice, regulatory interpretation, and strategic consulting assistance.
• Mentor and support junior staff through field training, technical evaluation, and professional development programs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on intricate projects, business growth, and practice development.
• Contribute to the development of technical procedures, quality assurance protocols, and best practices.
• Maintain and calibrate field equipment while implementing quality control and quality assurance measures.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Kinesiology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial hygiene, environmental consulting, hazardous materials management, or a related area.
• Significant experience in conducting and managing asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and indoor air quality investigations.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, NJDEP, and other relevant hazardous materials laws.
• Experience in overseeing environmental sampling initiatives, including air, bulk, and surface sampling, along with interpreting laboratory results.
• Proven track record in managing projects, coordinating field teams, and delivering high-quality client outputs on time and within budget.
• Proficient in technical writing, report preparation, and quality assurance/quality control review.
• Ability to independently conduct field investigations and travel to project locations across New Jersey and the surrounding Northeast region as necessary.
• Experience in a client-facing consultant role, providing technical guidance to stakeholders.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Preferred: EPA AHERA Building Inspector and/or Management Planner certification.
• Preferred: NIOSH 582 Microscopy Course or equivalent training.
• Preferred: OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification.
• Preferred: CIH, CSP, or progress toward achieving professional certification.
• Preferred: New Jersey asbestos-related licenses, certifications, or accreditations.
• Preferred: Lead Risk Assessor, Lead Inspector, Lead Abatement Supervisor, or other relevant lead credentials.
• Preferred: Experience mentoring junior staff and providing technical guidance.
• Preferred: Experience supporting business development efforts, proposal writing, and managing client relationships.
• Preferred: Experience on complex commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, or insurance-related projects.
