This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead and execute intricate environmental investigations, inspections, and monitoring programs associated with asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and other environmental hazards.
• Act as a technical resource and subject matter expert for hazardous materials assessments, indoor air quality evaluations, and remediation projects.
• Manage field operations, including air, bulk, and surface sampling programs.
• Supervise and analyze environmental data, prepare technical reports, and offer recommendations to clients and project stakeholders.
• Direct oversight activities for remediation and abatement, including contractor monitoring, final visual inspections, and clearance air sampling.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and CDPH requirements.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Build and sustain strong client relationships through technical guidance, regulatory interpretation, and strategic consulting support.
• Mentor and assist junior staff through field training, technical review, and professional development initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support complex projects, business development activities, and practice growth initiatives.
• Enhance technical procedures, quality assurance programs, and best practices.
• Maintain and calibrate field equipment while implementing quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Kinesiology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial hygiene, environmental consulting, hazardous materials management, or a related field, demonstrating increased responsibility.
• Extensive experience in conducting and managing investigations related to asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and indoor air quality.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, CDPH, and relevant hazardous materials regulations.
• Experience overseeing environmental sampling programs, including air, bulk, and surface sampling, along with interpreting laboratory data.
• Proven experience in managing projects, coordinating field teams, and delivering high-quality client outputs on time and within budget.
• Strong skills in technical writing, report preparation, and QA/QC review.
• Ability to independently lead field investigations and travel to project sites throughout the Los Angeles area and nearby regions.
• Experience acting as a client-facing consultant and providing technical recommendations to stakeholders.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Preferred: Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST).
• Preferred: California Lead Sampling Technician Certification.
• Preferred: NIOSH 582 Microscopy Course (or equivalent).
• Preferred: OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification.
• Preferred: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or progress toward professional certification.
• Preferred: EPA AHERA Inspector and/or Management Planner accreditation.
• Preferred: Experience mentoring junior staff and providing technical oversight.
• Preferred: Experience supporting business development initiatives, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.
• Preferred: Experience working on complex commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, or insurance-related projects.
