This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +18 more states.
• Lead intricate, high-stakes sales processes with minimal supervision, encompassing advanced Qualification, Discovery, and deal structuring for enterprise clients.
• Formulate and implement innovative strategies to penetrate new markets and enhance existing relationships, often within ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.
• Oversee top-of-funnel and full-cycle sales activities—from prospecting and outreach to closing—while establishing benchmarks for best practices and innovative methodologies.
• Provide engaging, tailored platform demonstrations and thought leadership to C-level and executive stakeholders, utilizing extensive product and industry expertise.
• Assess complex client requirements and market data to devise customized solutions and proposals that align with both client goals and Morning Consult’s strategic objectives.
• Ensure meticulous pipeline management and forecasting in Salesforce, maintaining data integrity and offering insights to guide business strategy.
• Mentor and coach team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Contribute to the evolution of sales methodologies and processes, influencing the future direction of the Business Development team.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Morning Consult externally, cultivating relationships with key industry leaders and partners.
• Continuously enhance performance through feedback and proactively share actionable insights to drive team and organizational advancement.
• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as may be required or assigned at the Company’s discretion.
• 8+ years of enterprise sales experience.
• BS/BA or equivalent; an advanced degree is advantageous.
• Proven capability to independently manage and close high-value, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights for varied audiences.
• Advanced understanding of marketing, communications, data, or brand strategy.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to executive and C-level audiences.
• Familiarity with survey research and its methodologies (highly regarded, but not mandatory).
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and enhance team performance.
• Experience in contributing to the development of sales processes, methodologies, or best practices.
