Senior Engineering Manager – Conversational Agents

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead engineering strategies and implementations to enable customer AI agents to securely and efficiently utilize Twilio platform capabilities.

• Develop and expand systems that support AI agents for Twilio’s internal business functions.

• Partner with product, platform, security, and go-to-market teams to pinpoint AI agent use cases and deliver production-ready solutions.

• Recruit, mentor, and nurture managers and engineers.

• Set operational metrics, engage in roadmap planning, and ensure reliability, compliance, and ongoing improvement.

• Gain technical expertise and knowledge in a dynamic, high-output environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of practical experience as an engineer writing production-quality code in a contemporary programming language.

• 3+ years of experience directly overseeing teams of engineers across various disciplines.

• Experience in cultivating technical excellence and steering teams through technical design choices.

• Demonstrated history of delivering products to production, testing concepts early with customers, and iterating based on feedback.

• Strong focus on customer satisfaction.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Enthusiasm for emerging technologies and keeping abreast of industry advancements.

• Experience in taking a product from concept to achieving product-market fit (preferred).

• Experience leading products or features that utilize LLMs (preferred).

• Passion for hands-on building (preferred).
