Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a technical lead with direct involvement in coding, conducting code reviews, leading retrospectives, and managing team members.

• Report directly to the Director of Engineering.

• Direct and develop a team of 5–10 engineers.

• Hold regular one-on-one meetings, create career development plans, and offer constructive feedback.

• Attract, recruit, and retain top engineering talent.

• Cultivate a culture of learning, inclusivity, and engineering excellence.

• Oversee prioritization, address technical challenges, and ensure agile delivery.

• Lead the architecture and execution of essential features and systems.

• Produce clean, scalable, and thoroughly tested code.

• Establish standards for code quality, security, and system performance.

• Facilitate technical reviews, pair programming sessions, and knowledge sharing activities.

• Collaborate with Product teams, Executive Leadership, stakeholders, and fellow tech leads.

• Define and implement product features while setting the long-term engineering vision and system design.

• Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence product strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of engineering experience.

• More than 3 years of experience managing a team of 3 or more engineers.

• Strong grasp of design patterns and architectural thinking.

• Proven experience scaling engineering teams in rapidly growing environments.

• Familiarity with domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, or microservices.

• Recent hands-on experience with coding and conducting code reviews.

• Recent proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Next.js.

• Experience with NestJS and PostgreSQL.

• Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, particularly with Kubernetes and Terraform.

• Passion for AI in software engineering and contributing to the transformation of the industry through AI.

• Demonstrated history of delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.

• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.

• Willingness to work an 8 to 5 EST schedule.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States post-hire.
