Senior Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the architecture strategy, reference models, and target states within Network Power Solutions.

• Influence the technology direction by focusing on standardization, simplification, and investments in platforms.

• Oversee cross-domain architectural efforts addressing resilience, security, compliance, observability, and developer experience.

• Advocate for architecture practices and governance, including Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and Well-Architected frameworks.

• Collaborate with engineering and product leaders to convert business requirements into scalable solutions.

• Offer practical assistance in addressing complex architectural challenges.

• Articulate architectural vision and decisions to both technical and business stakeholders.

• Mentor engineers and architects while actively contributing to internal communities and best practices.

• Utilize AI tools for design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, while promoting the adoption of AI-driven workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven expertise and experience in a senior architecture position with responsibilities spanning multiple teams, products, or shared platforms.

• Demonstrated ability to leverage architectural practices to guide and deliver tangible business value while minimizing unnecessary expenses.

• Extensive knowledge of cloud-native and distributed systems architectures, specifically on AWS.

• Strong proficiency in Java development.

• Significant experience with SaaS, API-based, and developer-oriented platforms.

• Competency in microservices, Kubernetes, event-driven architectures (Kafka), CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Proven capability to utilize capability mapping, ADRs, and C4 diagrams in practical and appropriate manners.

• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align stakeholders and drive decisions without formal authority.

• Experience in balancing architectural consistency with team autonomy in dynamic, agile engineering environments.

• Familiarity with Network APIs is an advantage.

• AWS, Kubernetes, or related cloud certifications are a plus.

• Knowledge and experience working within an Agile framework is a plus.
