Senior Engineer, Sourcing Development, Footwear

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vietnam.

📋 Description

• Perform site visits to contract manufacturing organization facilities to observe the production and testing of company products while reviewing compliance.

• Assist in the operations of contract suppliers, addressing technical issues, obtaining quotations, selecting and evaluating vendors, resolving schedule conflicts, and managing quality concerns.

• Oversee quality, compliance, and regulatory matters between the company and third-party footwear manufacturers.

• Cultivate and manage relationships, acting as a liaison between the company and contractors.

• Provide contractors with necessary information to ensure adherence to quality standards.

• Ensure that products comply with good manufacturing practices and meet established quality requirements.

• Identify potential new contractors and assess the financial stability of suppliers.

• Coordinate the development of contractor manual documentation.

• Address cost and feasibility requests and procure vendor quotations.

• Determine appropriate courses of action in accordance with guidelines, modifying processes and methods as needed.

• Analyze and investigate various related issues under general guidance.

• Communicate intricate information and secure cooperation or approval from relevant stakeholders.

• Organize personal work, evaluate progress, and adapt efforts to achieve objectives.

• Assist in coordinating the tasks of junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent experience in a substantially similar industry may be accepted in place of a degree.

• Three to five years of relevant experience is preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with principles and practices in a recognized professional field that requires extensive academic preparation.

• Understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures.
