Senior Engineer, Software – Payroll Compliance

📋 Description

• Design and implement modular, maintainable software solutions that are optimized for both performance and scalability.

• Facilitate discussions on feature and epic design, integrating feedback from diverse teams.

• Make technical decisions that align with business goals and fulfill customer requirements.

• Address technical uncertainties through thorough analysis and collaboration.

• Manage medium to large-scale projects from initial concept to delivery with minimal oversight.

• Collaborate across teams to identify and oversee technical dependencies.

• Uphold coding standards while adhering to project deadlines.

• Advocate for best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.

• Enhance CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and monitoring systems.

• Conduct actionable code reviews.

• Promote the reduction of technical debt and refactoring of legacy code.

• Mentor junior engineers on best practices and modern development methodologies.

• Encourage knowledge sharing through code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions.

• Resolve conflicts independently when feasible, escalating as necessary.

• Influence technical direction with well-reasoned arguments and expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proven experience in leading significant technical projects.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• A collaborative mindset with the capability to influence colleagues.

• Flexible approach to evolving requirements and priorities.

• Extensive proficiency in software development languages and frameworks.

• Experience with agile development methodologies is essential.

• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques.

• Extensive experience with C#, .NET, React, and SQL.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Postman, Octopus, and Datadog.

• In-depth understanding of system architecture principles.

• Availability for five days a week during designated work hours.

• Experience in banking and money movement topics is a plus.

• Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms is desirable.

• Experience utilizing AI tools to expedite code development is a plus.

• Ability to sit for extended periods, typically 7–8 hours a day.

• Proficiency in operating computers and phone systems, including typing.
