This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Design, construct, and implement AI-driven solutions that transform legal and compliance processes.
β’ Engage in discovery sessions with attorneys and compliance specialists to pinpoint automation prospects.
β’ Architect AI applications for tasks such as contract review, legal research, regulatory assessment, and compliance workflows.
β’ Create scalable systems for the ingestion, parsing, chunking, embedding, and indexing of legal content.
β’ Produce clean and well-tested code in Python and/or TypeScript for production-level applications.
β’ Leverage LLM APIs, orchestration frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines from initial prototype to deployment and monitoring.
β’ Construct automated evaluation pipelines, test sets, and quality metrics for legal AI outputs.
β’ Implement data security measures, access management, audit logging, PII redaction, and compliance with data residency requirements.
β’ Convert user requirements into product and technical specifications and prioritize feature development.
β’ Lead, educate, and mentor members of the legal team in developing no-code AI solutions.
β’ Act as the technical intermediary between legal and engineering teams.
β’ Conduct demonstrations and training sessions for legal users while providing insights for product development.
β’ Collaborate with IT and Data & AI teams to create scalable solutions that adhere to enterprise architecture and governance standards.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
β’ Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, data science, or machine learning engineering.
β’ Proven history of delivering production applications.
β’ Experience in production with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG architecture, agent/tool-use development, and evaluation frameworks.
β’ Strong programming skills in Python.
β’ Familiarity with AI/ML libraries and frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Hugging Face.
β’ Experience with modern AI infrastructure, vector databases, cloud services, API design, and containerized deployments using Docker or Kubernetes.
β’ Proficient in designing data pipelines and document processing systems for large-scale unstructured content, including parsing, OCR, entity extraction, and classification.
β’ Demonstrated interest or experience in legal, compliance, or regulatory fields.
β’ Willingness to travel 10β25% for meetings and conferences.
